FYI:
Did you know that there are current threats to the Americans with Disabilities Act and to the continuation of Independent Living Centers as we know it?
To learn more about these impending threats, attend the next meeting of Central Washington Advocacy Coalition (CWAC) on Dec. 14th from 3:30-4:30 pm @ Elmview's new office, located at 204 E. 6th Avenue. This meeting will begin to develop a strategic plan that will redesign CWAC's purpose, mission, and vision. Along with defining our mission, we will also be discussing ways in which CWAC can become even more effective advocates in our community to deal with these important issues.
CWAC is dedicated to using self-advocacy, political and systems advocacy, and community education to increase disability awareness and to improve the quality of life for all people with disabilities. For more information about the meeting, please contact Gretchen Thatcher (962-9620) or e-mail gretchen@cwdrinfo.org.
