President Bush has recently issued his proposed budget for 2007, in which he calls for the elimination of 91 programs and significant reductions in an additional 50 programs. A complete listing of these proposals, including brief descriptions of the programs impacted has been published in a report titled "Major Savings and Reforms in the President's 2007 Budget. The following information on programs of interest to people who have disabilities is extracted from that report. The dollar amounts given for each program is the difference from the 2006 budget, which the President has just signed. Several of these programs have already had significant reductions from 2005 funding levels in that 2006 budget.
