CWDR Staff work with consumers to help them to become better self-advocates in their efforts to obtain access to facilities, services and opportunities.
CWDR staff & board members advocate whenever possible towards making facilities, services & opportunities accessible and available to individuals with disabilities in our area.
CWDR provides information & referral on all disability related issues to individuals with & without disabilities.
CWDR staff members with disabilities provide peer counseling/assistance to consumers in making informed decisions, adjusting to disability, finding and utilizing services, understanding rights and responsibilities, and assessing options.
CWDR staff members will provide skills training services based on the needs expressed by consumers in order to further the development of abilities to achieve, enhance or maintain independent living. Services are provided to individuals and/or groups.
CWDR provides technical assistance to businesses, organizations, and individuals on disability education and accessibility options.
